HEPA stands for high-efficiency particulate air, and is considered the gold standard of measuring air purification effectiveness.
HEPA measures the different size particles that come through a filter, from big particles like pet dander to incredibly small ones like viruses.
Our aair 3in1 Pro and aair Lite are both rated HEPA H13***, which means that they remove air pollutants down to 0.1 microns at 99.995% effectiveness at 0.1 microns and above. That size includes viruses and bacteria. And our Medical Pro is rated HEPA H14***, meaning a 99.995% effectiveness at 0.1 microns and above.

Ozone Free
One of the hidden dangers of many air purifiers is that, while they may remove allergens, mold particles, and pollutants that worsen asthma, they have the side effect of creating ozone.
According to the EPA: “When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. Relatively low amounts can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath and throat irritation.”
